Dear Shareholders:
With the continuing statewide drought, it is critical that everyone in Blue Lake Springs continue to practice water conservation. Across California water managers are increasingly using words such as "scary," "crisis," and "grim" to describe the water supply outlook for 2009. Full time residents, part time residents, and those who rent must all do their part to reduce water usage.
The completion of the 7300' water main replacement project in the Stephanie Drive/Patricia Lane neighborhood is on schedule. New service connection boxes, the last part of the project, will be completed by the end of October. In addition, 13 new fire hydrants have been installed.
As discussed at the September Board meeting, anyone who has not paid their water fees for 2008 is reminded to do so by December 31, 2008.
If you have questions or need suggestions on water conservation, please do not hesitate to call the Water Company office, Monday through Friday, during business hours at 209-795-7025. Our staff will be happy to help you find ways to conserve water.
